The CAPSS Training and Development Team is implementing a great self-assessment tool for Centres to add to their tool kit of resources. Specifically, “The Dashboard” will guide you through a series of gauges, designed to measure the strengths and weaknesses of your infrastructure. The result will show you what warning lights are flashing and in what areas of the Centre’s operations you need help. It is a great way to see where you are and discern what will bump you forward as you serve your clients with excellence. The Dashboard has 6-8 gauges measuring various items. The purpose of such a gauge is to prevent the organization from landing in the “red zone” in critical areas for operation. With our help, Centres will be able to monitor their work in an effective and somewhat objective manner and then easily prioritize the areas that need some help. That’s where our consulting team come in to assist and is why in faith this spring we add Beth Gray to our staff as the Director of Centre Development. |
| Dashboard project: The Dashboard project will start with a pilot project in Ontario where CPC Directors and board members will gather together over a series of sessions with our Director of Training and Development to learn how to assess the vital signs of their organization and prioritize their plan for success. This project will have a far-reaching impact on the future health of Centres across Canada as evidenced by: - Increase in client numbers
- More effective care of clients
- Increase in number of volunteers and staff
- Financial solvency
- Effective board and staff roles and relationships
